Just as Ron said the free edition doesn't need the product key (direct download page below. The trial edition link is still available which I suspect you have used instead of the above. Normally you would, of course, pay for a licence continue using it but that is not necessary with the free version, so just install the freebie over the top of the other, and it shouldn't request the licence / product key again. Between the two, note the page titles - one is Expression Web 4 Trial and the other is Expression Web 4 (Free Version) . Also under the Details heading, note slightly different version numbers EW4 SP2 is version 4.0.20525.0 (Trial) and EW4 SP2a 4.0.1460.0 (Free Version. Look in the Help / About dialogue in EW4 and see what version you are running if is not 4.0.1460.0 SP2a then it is not the free version.
